Where for art thou muse?

This image has always been a favorite by gianfrancomeza.com....It has been a rainy, somewhat miserable weather day yet I accomplished much. I have been uploading many paintings to my portfolio.
There are many on my hard drive that I shamefully cannot locate...ugh, but it'll get done.
I truly wish this end of things didn't take so long...I prefer to be painting. Trying to get back in the swing of blogging and yet, I can't seem to find my voice. Hoping my muse returns with a vengence!

Saturn In Opposition

On Friday, October 5, Saturn will enter Scorpio and will not visit Libra again for twenty nine years! 

Could this be true? Oh, Amen for that! I am a Libra and I have felt the strain of Saturn for a long, long, long time. He does his job well I have to say, but I am so relieved by the fact that HE is leaving my sign to pester some other sign -sorry Scorpio...I am on the cusp so I hope that doesn't mean you will still nag me and keep me in a perpetual state of "Saturn in Opposition"?

Fear not, it's all good in the end because if you follow astrology in any way, you know that Saturn cleans up the debris and makes you shiny and new and at your very best. You learn numerous lessons and discard whatever does not work in your life.  It's like cleaning house within and without and we all need that on a fairly regular basis :) Speaking of "Saturn in Opposition" ? it's also the title of a wonderful foreign film (see trailer above, beautiful actually...but I digress.

so...Thank you Saturn!!

Beautiful cinematography...

I saw this film awhile back and it was just filmed so, so beautifully. Apparently created in only 12 days. I love the black and white and the musical score. Amazing what can be created on a smaller time frame and smaller budget. Independent films are fast becoming my favorites. They are creative,  in my opinion, in ways that hollywood misses the mark. Foreign films are also favorites. This film is a combination of both.

This kitchen so completely does it for me....Gorgeous transom windows! Light, bright, airy...I might make the island larger and change out the pendant lighting, but just love overall. Whenever I view a kitchen design, rarely do I FEEL as though I would be comfortable in it. This kitchen I could totally see and feel myself working in.

This is where I decided to corral my art site, links to my previous incarnations (a.k.a. old blogs) and my all around Caleidescope view on life. I love design, art, architecture, photography, film and a million other things I will highlight here...depending on my mood. Images, thoughts and art that reflect my interests at any given moment.

I see life as a multi-dimensional wonder. I look for the inherent value in beautiful views, art, objects, people...everything. Art and beauty are subjective, but in all, they create in many: a sense

of meaning, a sense of joy and pleasure. At times it invokes the opposite, but to make you FEEL is, I believe, the very reason for the existence of art and beauty. 

It is my hope that you will find beauty within these pages...art, eye candy in the form of design, things with soul....so go for it!
